Irish In Britain

Emerald LENS CIC is a community-focused arts organisation based in Trafford in Manchester, using creativity to build resilience, wellbeing, and connection. Through inclusive, participatory arts projects, we support positive mental health, personal growth, and social engagement, particularly with women, girls but also for those who may face isolation or barriers to traditional support.

The arts act as a catalyst for exploring culture, identity, heritage, and lived experience. Through projects such as St Brigid’s Arms: Capturing the Voices of Women of Irish Heritage in the North of England, we celebrate female Irish identity and storytelling, support the Irish diaspora, and strengthen connections within and beyond Irish communities. Our work creates lasting, positive social impact for individuals, families, and communities
