Southwark Travellers Action Group (STAG) will be launching their new exhibition covering the history and culture of Southwark Travellers from the early 1980s when they first settled in the borough at this evening event, which will also be combined with STAG's Annual General Meeting.
The Exhibition includes the campaigning work Southwark Travellers did to establish the four Traveller sites in Southwark, and the formation of STAG as part of this.
The Exhibition looks at the period from the 1980s to the present, and provides some context on wider Gypsy, Roma and Traveller history and culture. After this launch event the Exhibition will be open to view until 29th May.
