Look Back to Look Forward is a major public exhibition built on oral histories from people from across the island of Ireland who moved to Britain over the past five decades.
Combining audio, film, archive material and storytelling, it offers a powerful and accessible insight into migration, work, identity and community. The stories are both deeply personal and widely resonant, reflecting experiences that continue to shape families, workplaces and communities today.
The exhibition has been seen by over 120,000 visitors at EPIC, The Irish Emigration Museum and toured across major cities in Britain.
This is the first time it will be presented in Northern Ireland.

The stories within the exhibition are as inspirational as they are heart-breaking and capture a breadth of lived experience rarely brought together in one place.
The exhibition was made possible thanks to generous funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
