Curated by Gregg Kofi Brown, the world renowned singer-songwriter and frontman of the internationally acclaimed Afro-rock pioneers Osibisa, this high-octane show unites a powerhouse nine-piece ensemble featuring members of Osibisa alongside some of Ireland's most exciting traditional musicians.
Osibisa are renowned for their highly infectious Afro-rock and disco-infused track SUNSHINE DAY - Recorded in 1975!!!! and still being played at parties and clubs around the world today!!
For this special Afro-Gael concert, Greg and Osibisa will be joined by an exceptional line-up of Irish musicians, including the acclaimed Irish musician John Devine (flute, whistles and uilleann pipes), sax player Caz Devine, dynamic New Yorker, Irish fiddler Ali Monaghan, and the outstanding bodhrán player Holly Fitz, creating a thrilling blend of African and Celtic traditions!!
