ASHFORD PLACE is looking for a well-rounded charity generalist to join our Board of Trustees. Based in Northwest London, we work to create homes for all, promote financial independence, support physical and mental wellbeing, and reduce loneliness and social isolation.

We want a Trustee who can bring practical experience in one or more of finance, fundraising, social media or digital development, alongside sound judgement and an interest in good charity governance. You will help shape strategy, oversee risk and finances, strengthen fundraising and communications, and support Ashford Place to increase its profile, partnerships and impact.

We welcome people from charity, voluntary, community, public or relevant commercial backgrounds. Previous trustee experience is helpful but not essential if you are willing to learn. Most important are integrity, curiosity, collaboration and a genuine commitment to our mission. Experience in finance is particularly desirable, while fundraising, social media or digital skills would also be highly valuable.

This is a voluntary, unpaid role requiring around 10 evening meetings and one full day each year, plus preparation and occasional advice. We value different backgrounds and perspectives and will support new Trustees to understand the role.
