Through 32 short video profiles of Irish people in Britain, our new digital series – We are the Irish in Britain: county connections – provides some festive conviviality ahead of St Patrick’s Day, as well as some reflection on what has been a year like no other.

Each clip features someone from or associated to a different Irish county and together our 32 profiles take you on a virtual tour around Ireland. We asked our participants to kindly share a favourite spot from their county and what they would like to say to other Irish people in Britain after a tough year.

You will hear from poets and politicians, campaigners and comedians, nurses and newsreaders. They weave an impression of the many ways Irish people contribute to the rich tapestry that is Britain in 2021.
