Irish In Britain

The Irish Centre is situated in the heart of Wimbledon. It is a 5min walk from the mainline train/underground station and tramline, whilst being 2min from the nearest bus station. 

We hold regular dances every weekend with live bands. We have a pool and darts section, several styles of dance classes (including traditional Irish dancing, Konga and line dancing), bingo night, music sessions, music classes and keep fit classes. We also have a well supported Golf Society with regular meetings and tournaments and would welcome new players. Screening of all the GAA matches on several screens throughout the club.

We also have the pleasure of hosting the Wimbledon Celtic Supporters Club with coverage of all their games. 

We have a regular Welfare Clinic and Irish Advisory Support sessions on a weekly basis as well as a “Thursday Club” specifically for senior citizens to socialise over a beverage, enjoy in house entertainment and occasional day trips.

The centre also has a function hall with a stage including two bars which is available for hire on Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
