The Labour Party Irish Society in Salford invite you to a fundraising event for Irish Community Care Manchester, celebrating St Brigid’s Day.

St Brigid's Day was an important Irish festival in folk tradition, celebrating fertility, blessings and protection and today it is a celebration of women of the Irish Diaspora.

In keeping with the association of St Brigid with healing and protection (and as a Parton Saint of beer!) the Labour Party Irish Society in Salford will be donating all proceeds from the event to Irish Community Care Manchester / Cúram Pobail Éireannach Manchain to support their work supporting the Irish and wider community across Greater Manchester.

We are delighted to welcome Sarah Mangan, Consul General of Ireland - North of England to open the event along with the Mayor of Salford Paul Dennett. We are immensely grateful to our sponsors, Schofield and Sons and Seven Brothers Brewery.

The event has a licence until 12:30am and traditional food of the day will be available along with live Irish music, courtesy of the amazing Saltcutters, an Irish dance troupe and céilí.

Bígí linn! Join us! Tá fáilte romhat! All welcome!
