Irish company offer free emergency First Aid training

Back to all news

In light of the medical emergency at the Euro 2020 tournament, Irish company the Role Group is offering a number of free First Aid training sessions to members of the Irish community in Britain.

The moment when, during the Euro 2020 football tournament, Danish athlete Christian Eriksen experienced a sudden cardiac arrest, has shone a light on the importance of emergency first aid skills.

Currently in the UK, only 5 percent of adults have the skills and confidence to provide potentially life-saving first aid in an emergency.

Irish-owned company, the Role Group, have responded to the event by offering a number of free training courses in July to members of the Irish community in Britain.

David McHugh, Managing Director, said:

“We feel that it is important that we train our community, to be able to swing into action and save a life. We would personally like to see first aid training to become a part of the curriculum in schools, but until then we’d like to provide this service free of charge for several sessions this coming July.”

If you, your colleagues, or members of your family would like to take part, please contact Role’s Training Representative, Louise, on 0203 865 2987.
