County Roscommon – Contae Ros Comáin

London–based GAA manager Paul Coggins steps up for his native County Roscommon, taking us on a tour of its sights and sharing his memories of football victories.

Originally from Granlahan, County Roscommon on the border with Mayo and Galway, Paul Coggins is manager of the Tír Chonaill Gaels senior men’s football team and former manager of the London team.

He led the Exiles to their first ever Connacht Senior Football Championship final after beating Leitrim in the semis in 2013 in Roscommon’s own Dr Hyde Park.

In his video, he shares these memories, as well as recommending picturesque Roscommon sites such as Lough Key, Lough O’Flynn and Roscommon Castle.

Wear your shamrock with pride this St Patrick’s Day, Paul says, but make sure to contact people who have not been so lucky and may be isolated.
