Rebecca McCarthy Kent is a multi instrumentalist, equally accomplished in both classical and traditional music. She has won multiple Fleadh Ceoil All-Ireland titles in both fiddle and piano and is the Bonn Óir Seán Ó Riada champion for 2019.

Rebecca has toured nationally and internationally with different musical groups in Germany, Switzerland, Canada, USA, Dubai, Romania, China and many more.

Rebecca is a qualified primary school teacher and has achieved first place in the TTCT teaching diploma in Irish music. Rebecca has also achieved a First Class Honours for her Masters Degree in Irish Music Performance at the University of Limerick.

Rebecca plays the fiddle at Celtic Steps The Show Tralee and is also co- founder and musical director of the Waterford based fusion orchestra- “Tradchestra.

Rebecca will lead this multi-instrumental workshop on Saturday afternoon at Comhaltas in Britain's annual convention. Open to all musicians, instruments and abilities. The workshop will culminate in a performance after our convention dinner on Saturday evening.
