Closing Date

We are seeking an individual to develop and increase our community network of members and stakeholders, engage our existing members and resource our member organisations to function more effectively.

This role will drive skills and competencies to aid sustainability, particularly in relation to fundraising, governance, financial and people management, supplemented by digital resources and bespoke support.

Irish in Britain currently has over 100 organisations nationally that offer services and activities in areas of welfare, housing, culture, arts, language, clubs, centres, societies and campaigning networks.

We are a diverse and dynamic network, nurturing leadership and building sustainability into our member organisations; promoting healthy living in our community, defining and generating policy and public affairs representations, conducting research to make the most informed decisions and campaigning for issues common to our membership and the wider Irish community.

You will demonstrate innovative strategies to support our membership organisations and demonstrably involve members in our wider work. You will lead the evaluation of our membership offer, evolving it to ensure it is meeting our members’ needs efficiently and effectively.

This role will be the interface for our member organisations. Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you will develop a vision for how we work with our members and measure the positive outcomes we would expect as a result.

Each week will be different in this exciting role, with great opportunities to connect with an ever–changing mix of creative groups, organisations and individuals.

If you feel you have the skills, creativity and commitment to make a difference and would like to join a dynamic national charity, we would love to hear from you. Irish in Britain was a finalist for Investors in People Employer of the Year in 2019.
