The Cultural Services department is part of the Capacity Building team at FIS. Our aim is to work with and strengthen Irish cultural organisations, building on the good work that they are already doing. We help members to improve the way they work and support the development of new initiatives.

We provide support and advice on a range of issues including governance structures, committee training, recruitment and staff management, financial planning and controls, event management, marketing, fundraising, sponsorship and much more. We encourage improved communication between members, unity within the Irish community and the development of partnerships across the broader community.

We are proactive advocates with regional and national bodies such as the Arts Council, Sport England and Government departments, working to represent Irish culture and influence policy at strategic level.

We recognise the value of both our traditional and contemporary Irish cultural practices and the need to reflect the needs of both our young and more mature citizens in our activities across Britain.
