Irish Survivors in Britain
It links up the survivors groups and services around the country wanting to work together. It has national reach through our network of member organisations, our partners and through our Irish Survivors in Britain website which was created with input from survivors and support groups working with survivors.
Irish Survivors are adults who are former residents of Institutions in the Irish Republic, who have survived the experience of childhood abuse. Over 170,000 children went to the ‘industrial schools’ in Ireland where much of the abuse took place. (Ryan report)
