Diaspora Voice Constitutional Convention
Diaspora Voice started as an Irish in Britain response to the call for an Irish abroad input to the Constitutional Convention in 2011. Public response on this issue tapped into a rich well of ideas and support for greater involvement of overseas citizens in Irish public life.
Polls confirm that the case for extending the franchise is popular among Irish throughout the world. Irish in Britain continues to press the Irish government to recognise the contribution of Irish overseas and provide for a greater involvement.
Across the Irish Diaspora, there are experiences and views we need to share. The vision of a confident and engaged global community has the potential to make an enormous difference.
